Hi! I've discovered the local lager ... "tusker" which is really rather nice so apologies in advance as I sit here merry and sunburnt and this may not follow that easily :) .... ok so last night i decided that if i was going to do anything today i needed to plan it and get up early and out before i started to watch big brother africa again on the TV (yes sad huh but MUCH better than the uk crap!!) , so I enlisted the help of David (taxi driver/tour guide/and now new best friend), i booked him for the day and we had a fantastic time, set off at 8am to reach the Safari Walk in time to spot leapords, then on to the elephant orphange for a quick one hour visit (restricted to protect them as they are rehabilitated in the park and best not be around humans much) but oh my god ... it was amazing and I really cant emphasis enough how brilliant 2 week old elephants are. Imagine honey i shrunk the kids and just shrink it to about 2 ft tall. LOVELY. Then it was on to Giraffe manor (a hotel in the national park with wild giraffes roaming round) where you get to climb a platform and if ya lucky a giraffe comes and nibbles you and licks your face - weird but good at the same time, just hope i dont have some weird giraffe disease now. Then finally we went to a cultural centre and saw all these weird and wonderful african dances ... to be honest it was here i first dicovered the beer so my judgement was waning and i was enjoying everything by this point ..... Back to the hotel and I can now pinpoint what this place is like - its like a deserted colonial holiday camp - imagine chalets in torquay plonked in the middle of africa (and in a city) ... ok I know what i mean but im waffling .... Oooo and it has a great wooden circular bar .... which I sit at .... with 40 staff .... again pretty weird LOL .... right I need to eat, im squinting at the screen and being bitten .... early night then off into the city tomorrow ..... hmmmm one more beer :) xx
