Today my family and me went to an elephant camp. After 30-60 minutes we arrived to the camp. The first thing we did was get into some clothes that they gave us. The cloths were blue and really big. Then the lady showed us how to use a hook. This hook was like a hammer where you hold on to a wood stick. Then on the top there was a metal stick like thing. It is supposed to remind the elephant of a horn of an animal and scare them. Using the tip of the metal stick the person in charge of the hook hits the elephant. They can hit either hard or light. Once we were done learning about the hook we took a very short walk to where the elephants were waiting for us. Sadly I was on an elephant all by myself because both of my sisters wanted to ride with an adult. At the last minute before I got on the elephant I asked a guide if he would ride with me and he said yes and hopped on.
After the elephants walk up a really, really, really, big, big, big, hill, hill, hill, we went down a really, really, really, windy, windy, windy, hill, hill, hill. Going up was not so bad. It really was not bad at all but going down. Going down was horrible!! Ok, it was not HORRIBLE but the whole time I felt like either me or the elephant was going to fall down and off a cliff. The only thing about riding the elephants that I did not like was GOING DOWN!!! After doing our little scary ride in the forest the guides led the two legged and four legged to a small river. The elephants walked in to the river and I knew right away that it was time for us to bathe the elephants. My elephant knelt down and I got off into the deep water. Then, my elephant laid down and my guide and me started covering the elephant with water. The elephant loved the water after a nice workout. We finish covering the elephant with water then he got up and gave my whole family (except my mom because she was taking pictures) kisses. Elephants kisses is like someone breathing in while their mouth is on your skin. I loved the elephant kisses and so did my family. That was our day with the elephants.
Thank you and please comment.

Aunt DeeAnn Wow O -- not many people can say that they have been kissed by an elephant. It sound like you had a great day. I think you are brave -- I would have been scared to ride an elephant! Sending lot's of love XOXO
Gran Gautney Hi Captain, You were kissed by an elephant and your nose didn't grow long (a little Pinocchio humor). I remember feeling the same about riding a horse and going downhill. You are a risk-taker, Captain. There is no doubt about it! You are amassing many stories that you can tell your own children some day. As always, thanks for sharing them with us! Love, Gran
