Henna is made from ground-up henna bush leaves. The dye leaves a reddish brownish color stain on the skin. When the henna first went on my hand and arm it felt and looked like liquidly chocolate. Then after about 5 minutes the henna dried and it felt like a facemask had hardened on my hand. After it was on there for 30 min I put it under water. The hard henna turned to mush. After that I just scraped it off with my nail.
Something else about India is that since cows are holy animals in India they let them go wherever they want including the road. That is one reason why the traffic is horrible in India. Most of the people are poor in India so they normally only walk. When they do want to travel they either take the train, a bicycle rickshaw or tuk tuk. One more thing about India is that the people there dress very fancy. There were two kinds of clothes that we saw. One was very simple were you put on some loose pants and a long shirt with full sleeves and a scarf. The other is a 5 meter long piece of beautiful fabric that you wrap around your body in a very special way. All of the outfits are very bright and pretty and include a head cover and alot of bracelets and sometimes even pierced noses and a bindi (a dot on the forehead).
