Packed up and left Noosa heads and decided to keep the car an extra day and take a trip to Steve Irwins Australia Zoo. Saw the great Croc show- why someone would get in an enclosed space with a hungry 14 ft Croc beats me. Saw the kangaroos, Koalas - lovely zoo but it was blisteringly hot. Headed back to hotel, went to the gym and then ate in the hotel followed by an early night, due to the early flight to perth tomorrow.

Well we have been promised thunderstorms on a dozen occasions and the worst we have had is a rainy afternoon at Sydney. Today appeared to be the same when we woke to blue skies. We headed for the beach from 10-2pm where it was red hot. The sea was warm too. Got up , had breakfast and then went for a 6 mile walk through Noosas national park. We circled around the coast with some stunning views, and then through the forest to return back to the vistors centre. Thoroughly enjoyable- weather warm , muggy and overcast, forecast thunderstorms, but only a few showers materialised which only lasted seconds. Too overcast to sunbathe really. Picked up care and drove the 2 hours to Noosa heads. The car had some great features- you could press a button and it would give you an audible warning if you were lane wandering, and also on the wing mirrors it had a radar sensor which brought up an amber light in the corner of the mirror if someone is in your blind spot ( if you indicated to pull out whislt someone was in your blind spot , It would flash a warning to you)- marvelous stuff. Brisbane is inbetween the gold coast and sunshine coast , with its heart set slighly inland on the river Brisbane.
