Had a lovely Aslan meal last night- food was great but the ambiance was a bit naff. Probably didn't help when the first thing we saw was a man walking out after complaining about his duck. That mighty beast karma , raised its head after I was laughing at the people who cooked there own meals and paid for the joy of doing so. We got a bill of £80 , which was supposed to be the subsidised price from the all inclusive package! They even charged extra for having the same wine, but my larger was upgraded to Heineken - served from a tin which was left on the table- must have been 60p worth from tesco's! Service was a bit slow and it was nearly time to watch the tribute singer George Michael . Mrs C was starting to get a little concerned that we might miss it so I told her that "she gotta have faith" as "I knew he was waiting for me"! Unfortunately my attempt at humour didn't register with her until 5 mins later. She has many great qualities but "Marlene " can be a bit of "dopey mare "at times. We missed the first 5 mins of the show trying to locate the theatre , which was outside the front of the hotel. "George", my new mate as you can see by the picture, was excellent. Went on to the piano bar for a couple of drinks to watch the resident entertainment team, which was fine- although the style of music wasn't my preference - sort of 50's stuff.
