Yesterday the hotel put on a dancing water show which was really quite nice. Not the bellagio in Vegas but a nice touch.
On the walk yesterday we came across a camel herder who was a huge man with only 3 teeth. He smiled and offered to take a photo of us with his camel. I assumed it was a freebie and part of his sales strategy in order to get us to ride his camel. I didn't really want to ride it ,as I was afraid we would get arrested for animal cruelty or we would get an excess weight charge with my new belly. However, we did get a picture and he promptly asked us for cash! I told him that it was the camel who was honoured to have its photo taken with me, as I once was the Ponteland squash men's champion for 10 consecutive years, a point that seemed to be lost on him! A couple of quid got him off our back and another lesson learned .! A bit different from Spanish timeshare I suppose. Happy holidays!
