Today we strolled through the streets of Venice. The heat here was nearly unbearable, it's the hottest place we have been yet as you can't escape the heat by going for a swim like we did in San Sebastian, Ibiza and Nice. The only thing you can do is go back to the airconditioned rooms. Our hostel is central on the island of Venice so we don't have to catch any public transport through the day. It was a little more expensive but well worth it as a ferry one way is €12. We came back to our room and had a little siesta before heading out for dinner. We went to a canal side restaurant and had pizza, it was delicious and then I had one scoop of chocolate gelato ice cream with choc chips in it. The gelato over here is beautiful and I have been having one ice cream a day but now need to cut back because of my weight and my pennies. After dinner Clint and Lauren got some beers and we sat on one of the board walks to watch the Venice night life go by. Photo is the three of is out at dinner.
