Got to bed fairly early last night as we had to be at the Sydney Bridge by 9:00 for a three hour climb/tour. I will spare you the details but in the end we stood atop of the brige overlooking Sydney and the bay. Needless to say, it was a spectacular sight! The skies where very clear and we could see all the way to the Blue Mountains (Thursdays adventure). Our group leaders spent 6 weeks in Saskatchewan about 12 years back in Estevan on a student exchange so it was nice to meet him and fill him in on all the big changes in the province. After the climb we made our way to the ferry to head to Manly beach. Walked along the beach for a couple of KM's then found a little restaraunt for a light lunch/beer. One thing about Sydney is that it is not inexpensive. Most items on the menu are in double digits with alcohol being probably $2-3 more expensive then back home. Glad we are moving on to what we are told are more reasonable prices.
We have been walking quite a bit -- 30 minutes from the hostel to the Quay each way so my feet are killing me. Will likely just relax tonight, Looking forward to a few tours tomorrow and a train trip to visit friends in Cronulla for dinner.
