Got up and headed fro the bus to do a Hop-On Hop-Off tour around the city. Sydney's history is not quite as interesting as say Dublins so it was a good way to see different areas of the city but was nothing too extraordinary. We departed at the Botanical Gardens and did a walk around. To see trees filled with upside down bats in the middle of the day was a bit creepy. Its really odd to see so many birds we wold see as exotic as a native species here (cockatails, parrots). After the tour we hopped a train to see Bondi Beach. It was very windy and a bit cool so we didn't hang on the beach to og but watched some surfers and toured around Bondi for a while. I imagine in the summer how packed it would as it is great spot.
Hopped another train and headed fro Cronulla, about1 hour out of Sydney to vivst friends we made in Scotland. Had we known more of the area, we would have planned to stay in that area. Huge beaches just a as nice as Bondi, less commercialism, and we really enjoy hanging with John and Lauren. They took us to a greek restaturant where we had a great meal, good converstation and then headed back to the city for bed as we head to the Blue Mountains in the a.m.
