We headed down the freeway out of Cedar City UT and it was more or less clear sailing the entire way, the roads were relatively flat with slight increases in altitude. This was probably because this was an Inter State Freeway as opposed to the scenic route, we cruised at about 65 - 75 miles an hour most of the way, with a few stops along the way for fuel and nicotine and bathroom breaks it was a nearly flawless trip.

Until I noticed that we were very low on fuel, we had to scope out the closest gas station which we barely made and then we were on the road again.

Almost out of Utah we noticed this huge cloud of smoke on the horizon, both Jeff and I wanted to get in closer and have a look at this monster smoke cloud, we soon realized though that it wasn't smoke but a massive wind storm, we guess it to be nearly a mile in diameter (across the heart) and it was nearly blowing both our rigs off the road. We pulled off of the freeway and found shelter at a closed down gas station along with a bunch of other travellers and truckers too.

The storm crossed the freeway and continued on its path through the fields and we got on the road again. Soon we were in Idaho and a huge sign on the road informed us of dangerous wind storms (a little late but whatever).

We arrived at the Twin Falls Jerome Idaho KOA dead tired from a long almost 8 hour haul, set up had dinner and put the kids to bed. Jeff, Dana, Grace and I then sat up with Mikki and Rochelle and chatted for a while until the youngens had to go to bed too (wimps). The four adults then sat up for another hour or so drinking and chatting before also heading to bed.
