Our time in both Robina and the Tweed area has now sadly come to an end, where we enjoyed our housesit and looking after Gabby and Poppy, the two Tibetan terriers.
We had a good routine going, with a long early morning walk for the dogs who behaved beautifully for us, before returning home where I groomed them while Chris cooked their breakfast of fried egg on biscuits. They also got lots of treats plus pasta and minced beef and chicken for dinner. They certainly enjoy a good life!!
While we were in the area we also helped 3 lots of people move house, the first being Jo and Phil. Phil has got a teaching job in Coolah, a small country town in NSW and is about 1 1/2 hours from Gunnedah where Emma and Graham live. They will all now be able to spend a lot more time together which I am happy about. It just goes to show though, that parents should never move to be near their kids as they are just as likely to move themselves. The lengths some people will go to, to get away from the "in laws!" We had organised this Housesit, thinking we could spend more time with Jo, Phil and Olivia, and they moved half way through it. Nice one Phil!! x
The other movers were our good friends Dorothy and Jan. Jan moved to a new place and Dorothy moved into Jan's old place (all very confusing!) we didn't play a major part in the removals, but helped out where we could.
The next thing that kept us very busy was mum. Most of our time here she had been unwell, ranging from waterworks trouble to thrush, then flu followed by a nasty chest infection. She spent a week in hospital and for a while there, we were very worried. At 85 and with all her other health issues, it was cause for concern. Thankfully mum is now back home and very pleased to be there. I'm so relieved as I wasn't happy about leaving her for our next housesit commitment. We were busy making contingency plans incase I needed to stay behind and Chris go on his own but in the end this was not necessary
and now as I'm writing this, we are in Armidale, on route to Gunnedah again, and looking forward to a successful housesit and spending more time with all our beautiful grandchildren.
