It's been a while since I updated this blog but we have been moving around a fair bit and the time is going so quickly. After leaving Longreach, (we didn't get to Winton but that is for another time) we travelled down back towards Orange, stopping at Charlieville and then a great free camp at Wyandra before going to the Kunnanulla festival where we joined the locals in watching a rodeo and then a round of the national bull riding tournament the next evening. We had 4 great days at Longreach and it was as hot, dry and dusty as we expected. Although the temperature was high 30s, it was not a humid heat so quite bare able. A swimming pool at our site helped a lot as well! Also a good spot to meet other travelers and have a good yarn. We made friends with some more bird life. We did eventually manage to leave Seaforth, even after seven weeks it was hard to drag ourselves away from that lovely spot. It is an unspoiled, picturesque part of Australia that not many people know about and we just stopped the world and got off for a while! Well, as you can see, we are still at Seaforth and why wouldn't we be? This is a great place and the weather has been beautiful. We have yet to make it to Finch Hatten Gorge or even Airlie Beach, but hey! We'll get there some time. We are having a great time just living in the moment, just being lazy when we want and energetic on bikes and walks when want.
