We arrived and after getting through the passport lines, we got a train to Rome - the Leonardo de Vinci, not to be confused with the Leonardo de Capria ... Oh yes, that's a goodie... Well it is funny if you haven't slept and we didn't. We walked up to a coffee bar and had a couple fabulous cappuccinos. Then we got a cab to the hotel where we dropped off out bags and the walked and walked and walked. You can see the Spanish steps behind Shauna and then we went into the Borghese garden full of statues and segways! I will try to add a few more photos in an album. After that lunch and we got caught in a downpour! Back to the hotel to dry off, nap and then we are headed back out for a glass of wine!
Our hotel is a bit like the Grand Budapest hotel - kind of quirky and I think I saw Tilda Swinton! Well maybe not, but this is a blog and some fiction is needed to keep you coming back.
