Up at 7am. Great sleep.Off to Toledo at 8.30am.Toledo was the ancient capital of Spain, until the King of the time, Phillip 11 in 1561, decided that he liked his holiday Palace in Madrid better. Apparently, he liked the hunting in the forests that surrounded Madrid. Great nights sleep. You will all be thrilled to know that the soccer game in the courtyard finished up about 11.30pm....Formidable breakfast .... Toast , croissants , cereal, fruit, bacon, eggs, yogurt....And I did have most of that. On the bus at 8.15am for the 4 hour drive Madrid. Passing through what looks like very poor farming land. Old abandoned stone buildings.And old olive groves.Stopped for a break. Parked beside a Spanish Police car.... They weren't...

Up at 6.15am. This was a lovely motel. I had a room 105 on the 1st floor. Really country motel just like in country Victoria... Balcony out the front. Breakfast was lovely.Off to Biarritz seaside town.Beautiful day about 26 degrees.We stopped at the lighthouse so we could see the view down into the town.Magnificent.3 hours for exploring and watching the surfers and swimmers. Had a great time walking the streets and shopping. Bought perfume...Jardins de Bagatelle ...
