...we attempt a visit to a local cemetery to see the tomb of Gustaw Herling-Grudziński but the cemetery is giant and no one knows anything,
Including the location of the archives and directory so we give up
...we cycle to the imposing Capodimonte Palace to visit Southern Italy's largest art collection - unfortunately Caravaggio is on loan and Warhol closed due to maintenance of one of the floors but the rest is quite fascinating (as is the way to get there - the gps takes us there through some slummy and gritty neighborhoods - dad nearly panicks)
...the dirt and trash everywhere no longer shocks us; neither do people from cars passing us who randomly chuck their waste such as empty cigarette packs out the window. Oh well..
...we take a tour of Naples underground - ancient aqueducts, sewers and such - and find it fascinating even if I have to interpret live for dad from English and one tourist even brings her poodle in! The French, eh..?
...we settle for a random pizzeria this time and - you guessed it - the pizza is delicious!!
