Well today there was more rain but luckily not so much. We headed off on a bus to a place called Waitotapu, this is where all the geothermal activity goes on. We got to see an errupting Geyser and lots of bubbling mud! In the afternoon we had a nice free drink in a local pub and had dinner at pizza hut! (well it has been quite a while since the last pizza!)

Today we woke up to the sounds of pouring rain. So we couldn't decide what to do as anything meant getting very very wet. We decided to walk to the lake and look at all the geothermal activity, couldn't really see it all that well as the rain didn't stop at all. We came back absolutely soaked, had some lunch and headed out again. This time we only ventured around the shops as they were all undercover! It is now the evening and is still pouring down, hopefull...

Well today was a very early start, we had to get up at 6.30 to get the coach. We stopped off on the way in Matamata, or as some of you might know it as Hobbiton, yes it was where the Shire was in Lord of the Rings. We didn't get to see anything really as we didn't have time, hopefully we will be able to come back here. We arrived in Rotorua at about 1pm, we had a wonder round. Today was another beautiful sunny day, we got up made a picnic and headed for the beach! We spent most of the day there and headed back around 3ish. We lounged around the garden for a while and had to pack up all our stuff again to head off to our new destination tomorrow.

Today we got up at 7.30 and found that the sunshine had come back! hurrah! We decided to buy an all day bus ticket so we could explore more. We got the ferry over the otherside. We went to Catherdral Cove again as it is so beautiful, we then walked down to Hahei Beach. We got the bus to Hot water beach, it was excellent, there were people digging up holes in the sand to make their own hot water pools, the water was boiling hot couldn't believe it!
