An early start today at 5am and we were on the ferry bound for the isle of Patmos, farewell to the beautiful port city of Kusadasi, and to Turkey. What a great time we have had here, I loved Turkey, the people are friendly and very helpful.
Today we are to set foot back in Greece on the idillic isle of Patmos where the apostle John was exiled and where he had the vision written down in the Revelation.
This will be our last stop on the tour as we leave Patmos tomorrow night at about midnight and head for the port at Athens where the tour ends and we all go our separate ways to enjoy some holidays before heading home to Australia.
But our trip today was very relaxing as we motored over the sea toward Patmos, we saw a multitude of sailing boats, fishermen and a pod of dolphins that tried to catch our ferry but obviously found something more interesting and disappeared as quickly as the appeared.
We have wandered the streets of this beautiful little island look at the shops, and after a bite to eat we headed back to the motel Romeo where I, Peter took a very long power nap, while Jean had a swim in the pool and did a little more shopping.
We were taken to the local fish tavern for diner, and had the best fish I have ever eaten.
Well now we are back at the motel after the leisurely 10 minute walk and ready to sleep waiting to see what tomorrow brings as we visit the monastery of Saint John, and the cave where he had his revelation vision.
