Up by 6am and on the road to Bryce Canyon by 7am. Car frozen as temperature was around -5 didn't feel too bad, although we did have our long pants and jackets on for the first time.
Driving through to Natural Bridge which is a naturally formed rock arch, snow all around making it a beautiful contrast with the bright red rock formations.
The next great spectacle was Bryce Point with its awesome view across thousands of red rock towers, breathtaking at this time of the morning. Inspiration point was just as stunning looking back at the towers of multicoloured rocks.
Back to Ruby's to checkout and start our driving day along the stunning Scenic Byway 12 towards Grand Junction in Colorado. There is no way I can describe the jaw dropping beauty of this magnificent road at every turn was another incredible vista. The rocks went from deep red to white and every imaginable shape and size. Mick McQueen of course was getting an itchy foot and had to see 'what the mustang could do' so on a seemingly straight piece of road he told me to hang on, I don't think he was even ready for what he had to hang into. Let's just say, she flies, the video footage will testify to this!
After travelling through Escalante, Capitol Reef NP and across The Razorback, a road with extreme drops hundreds of metres down on either side, we settled onto the I70 and arrived at our destination for the night, Grand Junction.
