After our long day yesterday through Yosemite, we stayed the night in Bishop on the west side of the mountains and home to the famous Mule Day Celebration. Cute little town and worth the stop. Travelled 4 hours down highway 395 towards San Bernardino and arrived at our Holiday Inn Express in Ontario. Juggled our suitcases to fit everything in for the trip home tomorrow. An early morning on the road to San Pablo, then hit the road for a drive through Yosemite National Park over Tioga Pass, a high elevation pass that usually opens around late May/June. Lucky for us, clearing was finished early this year and we were able to see another part of this magnificent National Park. Spent the night in Bishop.

On the road and heading to LA then make a side trip up to San Francisco and drop off all our extra shopping at the shippers. A long day driving leaving our favorite Vegas at 9am and arriving in Pleasanton just outside San Fran about 8pm. Mick had no problem keeping awake, sucking lollipops and battling the gale that was blowing up the highway.

Up very early to go to the Long Beach Swap Meet. As usual some great cars to see and some more bargains purchased. Thought we would try third time lucky to get a Mustang from the car rental mob. Required a bit of sweet talking but finally convinced the lovely girl to let us take the ONLY mustang in the lot. Checked into our motel for the night in Anaheim where we caught up on a bit of laundry, then went to the Outback Steakhouse for another beautiful steak dinner...
