After a good breakfast at the hotel and filling up with gas ($4.17pg) we started up highway 99 towards Fresno. Through dairy and farming area with the snow covered mountains of Yosemite in the distance, where we could very easily be persuaded to turn to, love Yosemite! Turned west towards Los Banos which is a big fruit, nut and vegetable area with beautiful old barns and huge plowed paddocks ready for the spring crops. Still heading south towards Hollister where we want to look at a car that has been listed on Craigslist, we have been trying to contact the owner without success so decided to wait at the local Macca's and keep calling and emailing, persistence finally paid off as she was down the street running errands and met us at Macca's and we followed her to her home. Great collection of old cars that her husband has collected over 45 years but all needing some TLC, spent over 3 hours chatting and checking out her collection. On the road again North towards San Jose to look at another advertised classic!! Nice 56 F100, in a very popular part of town Santana Row, near Winchester House. (inventor of the Winchester rifle) nearly another two hours here and we arrive very late after a very long day at Holiday Inn Dublin.
