Craig & Jills Round the World Trip
On Sunday we drove to Napier, which is a lovely small town on the east coast. It is famous for its art deco buildings, due to it having been rebuilt after an earthquake in 1930. On the way there we stopped off at Huka falls, which werent very high, however lots of white water and a gorgeous blue river.
On Monday we drove to Wellington through mainly countryside, lots of sheep. Wellington is the nicest place we have visited so far in New Zealand. Its in a nice location set in a big bay, with green hills behind. It also has a small beach and very clear water, despite the big port. Lots of really flash houses on the hills looking over the bay and nice cafes.
Today we spent the day looking round the city, we went for a ride on the cable car, and wandered round a big free museum, where we got to experience an earthquake from inside a house.
You will be impressed to hear we have been staying in hostels for the last week, and have just booked more for the rest of our time in NZ! Can you tell the moneys running out!
