We have been here before, we like it, we can tie up to the quay side where there are restaurants and there's always something going on, tonight is the local Bike night. There is a camp site and beach in the grounds of an old castle. We cycled 20 k to another old castle and picked wild blueberries. We stayed 2 nights something we have not done very often this year. From here we have to make some navigational choices. We either go across the sea to Denmark or Germa...

A day of 2 halves we left in light winds for a short 8 miles to an Island but when we arrive the harbour did not appear to have any visitor berths so we had a choice to go into Kalmar or carry on to Mörbylånga another 8 miles. We had a good wind, not to strong but as soon as we passed Kalmar we ended up with another F 6 right on the nose with more 2 m waves crashing round us. We should have stopped at Kalmar.

24 miles today forecast F4/5 turned out to be F7 near gale on the nose all the way. We were just able to sail, I can't remember a time when we had more water over the decks. Bornholm is Ölands answer to Brighton and we spent the afternoon at a rock concert in the local hotel. Bed time now and it's still blowing like crazy.

Another 2 nights on passage one old favourite at Älö very windy day and night but we never moved, our anchor working well. On route we were lucky to see 2 huge Eagles. Now we are on the homeward leg of this years voyages we are again plagued by SW winds the direction we need to go, this makes for hard days so we are keeping the distances manageable. Tonight's anchorage is the last Nature harbour in the Archipelago, on route the islands have been getting small...

After leaving Nävekvarn we had 2 short days sailing stopping in some passage anchorages Risö being the first then Håsko both small islands where we had short walks. Sailors say if you sail the Baltic then you hit rock well today we did, we were creeping into a Shallow anchorage that could safely take yachts with 1.6 m draft ours is only 1.47 so no problem you would think but we bumped one going very slowly in the entrance to Armnö Needless to say we reverse...
