So today we had to drive down to Sydney! We got in from our night out at about 2 am and were woken by someone shaking the van...That was an experience! We woke up about 8.30, very hungover! After showering, we headed to the hostel cafe for breakfast which consisted of a toastie and 2 bars of chocolate...Fab start to the day! We left at 11 am and Sarah drove for the first 3 and half hours. We stopped for lunch (more crap) then I drove for the next 3 and half hours. We needed to fill up with petrol desperately about an hour and half on so we stopped in a place called Kew, hillbilly central! We were stared at the entire time, oh and got more food! Back on the road we went until we stopped at KFC for even more crap food then got back on the road for another 2 hours. I used the toilets in KFC to clean my teeth and prepare for bed in anticipation of how terrible the rest area ones were going to be. It says something when you would much rather use a fast food place toilet! It was raining and actually quite cold in New South Wales, I feel like we could be back in England. We eventually stopped at a rest area an hour outside of Sydney at around 9.30 pm. After being on the road for 10 and half hours, driving for 9 of them we were both cream crackered! It was probably the worst night sleep since being in Oz as it rained the entire night and morning!
