Tommy was leaving us today to go on to Singapore and Masa was rejoining us back from KL. We had planned to hire out mopeds today so we could explore the island a bit more. Sarah went to Starbucks for breakfast while Rachel and I went to a local Malaysian restaurant, then Sarah joined us after. Masa's flight was delayed so we waited until 12.30. Once she arrived, we headed to the motorbike shop to get a moped each. I felt more confident driving here as there was hardly any traffic and the roads looked easy to drive on. It was Sarah's first time driving the bike so we started off slow but she got the hang of it pretty quick. Our petrol tanks were low so we drove to a petrol station first. Then after, we took a 20 minute drive North along the coast to see a waterfall called the 'Seven Wells'. Once we arrived, we grabbed some snacks and set off up to the top. We had to tackle about 300 steps which was horrendous as they were really quite steep and to be honest, none of us have done any proper exercise in a long time! Once we finally reached the top, we came across an amazing waterfall. It wasn't a steep or tall waterfall but more like lots of different slippery slides of smooth rock. We jumped in and slided down from the top to the bottom. We played around on the waterfall for about an hour and half, trying different ways to get down it. My personal fav was head first although I kept getting a nose full of water which wasn't ideal! After we dried off we got talking to a group of American guys that had just come from Thailand. They told us all their recommendations of the best places to go and what to do. They were staying at the same resort as us so we said our goodbyes and that we might see them out and about. The next waterfall was back down the hill thankgod! This one was more of a typical waterfall with a steep drop of falling water. We took pictures then headed to the mopeds to head back. Once back, we went for a hot chocolate at Starbucks as the weather was pretty miserable. Just what we all needed really. Then we went back to the motel, had showers and got dressed up for dinner together. I FaceTimed Evie again which was really nice. We lived together for two years and she's been a big part of my life, we've been through lots together so I miss her loads! After, we were supposed to go to a BBQ on the beach with the rest of the group, however, when we arrived at the spot, there was no BBQ, no lights or candles, no music, no drink or even food. We thought we would try and make a quick getaway as didn't fancy wasting one of our nights not doing anything. We went back to the 'yellow cafe' and had a really nice meal of chicken satay each. After, we walked along the beach front to find a little bar and ended up going to a place called Raffi's. We had a drink there, I had my usual fav, Pina colada! I started to feel a bit unwell again as STILL had the tail end of food poisoning so I headed back to the room for a bit. On the way back, I saw the two German guys from our group, Gor and Mi Lad. They were sat in their balcony and asked me to join them for a few drinks. The girls were waiting back at the bar so I invited the boys to join us. They had already bought beers so they sat on the beach with them and waited for us to finish our drinks. We all sat together chatting and listening to music on the beach for an hour or so and then decided to go back to the bar we had gone to the night before for a drink. We watched an appalling fire show (if you could even call it that) and then made our way back to the motel as we were tired.
