Day 9: HOLLYWOOD!
Today we headed to Hollywood - Universal Studios to be exact.
We started the day with the trolley tour through the studio backlots. Alas didn't spot anyone famous, but saw a few familiar sets and backdrops. The mechanical shark from Jaws was still there chomping away at tourists, which thrilled Josh no end.
Next on the to-do list was the new Transformer 3D experience. Safe to say this was top of the pops for Josh, however he was a bit shy when it came to meeting the larger than life characters in person.
He did enjoy the Transformers though much more than the surprise 50ft roaring T-Rex that towered over us as we began an 80ft drop at the end of the Jurassic Park log ride!
The Water World stunt show (based on that Kevin Costner flick) managed to put a smile back on his face.
Thanks to it being a Monday, queues were noticeably smaller which helped us jam in pretty much every ride and show Universal had to offer.
On our way home now, might dip our feet in the hotel's spa tonight to prep them for our Disney clean-up mission tomorrow.
