Well we have had enough of Anchorage!! Hard to find your way around and kept finding ourselves at the entrance to a military base. They aren't too friendly. parked downtown to explore - cost $15 then when we were 15 min late we got slapped with a $30 fine. What a joke. The campground is pretty awful too. Went panning for gold today- got about $12 total- won't get too rich this way. Nice to have a few days in one place. We are used to doing everything at warp speed to see everything so it is nice to have down time. Tomorrow we plan to spend some time on the Chena river.
