Ross and Giles have gone for a training ride up Lower North East Rd. I can't believe that 10 months ago when I booked this place, I managed to book somewhere literally 100m from the course. It goes past our entry street on Friday. I think that's a good thing!
This cottage is like a time warp. Just reminds me of the houses elderly Aunts used to have. It is quite deliberately, and I suspect conveniently, set up in a retro design. Except for the TV. It is enormous and flat screen. The kitchen is very new and modern, but the house is very old and must have undergone an overhaul during the 1960s judging from the decor. The old wood burning stove is set in as a feature in what is now the dining room. Although I can't work out where the wood might go......
Just delightful. Adelaide is the only capital city that I know of where there are pastoral views from the main street of town. Nothing has changed much since last we were here, Although we will discover more along that line when we venture into the city today to pick up the riders' jerseys and catch the first lot of racing this evening - women are racing too, which is excellent.
