We arrived into town and got a hotel - same same as Bradley's one when he stayed here, it has a pool and our room overlooks it - CANNONBALL!!! Well not quite, it is a bit chilly here at the moment so before we tracked off we put pants on for the first time and even took our jerseys with us.
First stop - Custom made clothes, Britt ordered 2 dresses, one jacket, pair of boots and sandals; Gravy got 1 high heel, 1 boots, 1 sandels, 1 shirt, 1 jacket, waistcoat and 1 dress, Abbey got a coat, a coat/waistcoat thing, 2 dresses, jeans shorts and boots made - see you later bank account. You have to keep comming back every half day to make sure they fit and you are happy with them have amendments made, I can't believe how efficient they are - Amberley Green this is what you need, you design, little vitnamese lady make, BOOM chicka wow wow!!
We had an amazing lunch fresh salad, BBQ pork, sauces and made our own fresh rolls with rice paper, the owner actuallly wrapped them at our table and dipped for us each time and chop sticked Abbey in the mouth with Pork, we could barely move after we were full to the brim.
This town is our favourite to date, every street feels like a street in arrowtown but vietnamese style- if you kow what I mean. A few more purchases of jewelerry was made and a quick geeze at the amrket. Home for a shower and a night out - this turned into dinner a few drinks, exhaustion overtook, so we decided now that we had the lay of the land, know where the bars are we would defer until the next day.
A lay in until 9:30am then we hired push bikes to cruise around on. We had to stop by our taylors - same same one as you too BJ then it was peddle to the metal out to the beach - 4km from town. The beach was huge, a cloudy day so didn't look as spectacular. We had some fresh fruit and a drink to cool off and read our books, occasionally interupted by the locals selling nic nacs, Abbey was coaxed into buying some lucky Buddah's, she did haggle the women down from 150,000Dong to just 60,000 so happy with that!
Back in Hoi An we hit up the Cargo club for yummy bakery type food on the river side balcony very cute and went over the japanese covered bridge, dodging people as we went as bikes were basically on death row and in need of a good splashing of CRC!!
At this point in the Blog we have received some shoes back check out the pictures, Grace and Abbey totally designed their own, of course loosley based on Chuck Taylors, but these puppies are NEW ZEALAND ALL STARS, with our signatures, not chucks. Have got some of our coats back and very happy and this arvo we all decided that we needed more dresses as we got amendments to our already half made one's ooops, we are addicted. Tonight we plan to have a mostly liquid diet and a wee bit of a nibble and hit town after wqe get our clothes. We bus to Hue tomorrow at 7am, might be some travel sickness occuring - update to follow re: ight out in Hoi An, so watch this space.
So...night out equled very cheap! Had dinner where tap beer was 3500 dong for a handle (20cents), headed to the why not f*&# off bar where we got a bucket each for 50000 dong then free run and cokes for an hour! certainly made the most of that. Jumpd 2 on a motorcycle with driver and headed round to another bar where water was the only drink ordered. Back on some bikes where we went for the vietnamese version of mcdonalds - noodle soup on the side of the road! Bed was calling and we headed home...but with the pool glistening in the night light and not fenced off it was enevitable we were getting in, of course to the dismay of a loser aussie who was staying pool side, who came out after 1minute to ruin our party, standing tall though we stayed in for an another good 15minutes and argued with him!
The sun rose, 7am we crawled out with the bus picking us up at 730. we couldnt believe our hungover eyes when a sleeper bus arrived instead of a normal sitting up bus - we were all over it! rum did not agree with britt and this was her worst day to date!
