We got our breakfast nice and early again this morning and checked out at 9.30am. We headed to the MRT station to get our train which would take us most of the way to Hervey Bay then we would get our connecting bus. We were early for the train as we had to check out from the guesthouse so early but James did manage to get a SIM card while we were waiting. We got into the train and found our seats, the train seemed fairly quiet which was good. It took around four hours on the train to get to the station for our connecting bus. When we got off the train it was throwing it down with rain, we got soaked just putting our bags underneath and getting on. Luckily after the 45 minute journey it had stopped by Hervey Bay. Most of the people on the bus got off at a bus station, there was just us and a couple of girls who got dropped off pretty much where we wanted to be dropped. We got dropped at the road in front of the one we wanted and then walked the rest of the way to our hostel. We managed to get there an hour before we thought we'd actually make it which was great. Our room was in a unit with three rooms inside, a bathroom, living room and a kitchen. There were another three units I think. We got a taxi after we'd dumped our stuff in the room to Fraser Dingo as we'll be driving a camper on Fraser Island tomorrow which is the world's biggest sand island. The taxi was expensive but there wasn't really another way to do it. We got there a little early so just waited outside in the car park where we could see four 4WD vehicles which were the campers. Ashley who owns Fraser Dingo turned up and we got all the paperwork organised then watched a DVD which shows you about driving on sand and tide times etc. We then went through the itinerary for the three day two night stay we'll have and got shown our camper and how things work. The great thing was that he said we could take the camper tonight instead of making another trip in the morning. We then went straight to the supermarket to get stocked up (there's no buying on the island) then went back to organise our bags. We are going to leave our big bags here and just take our little ones as staying in this hostel the night we get back from the island. We had beans on toast for tea and got to bed.
