We got up quite late today as we'd slept really well. As we're up in the hills the temperature is a lot cooler so no need for air con or a fan and no Mosquitos which is a bonus! So it was great for sleeping. We popped out for some breakfast and to have a plan of what to do for the next few days. When we got back we asked the hotel manager how much to book a taxi and where could we go. We organised a taxi for a couple of hours this afternoon to take us to the tea museum and a view point of the hills. Then tomorrow for the full day and the day we check out to take us back near Cochin to our next place with a few stops on the way. This way we skip the bus on the way back! We got our things together and got our taxi to the tea museum. The museum was great they had a lot of the old equipment they used and there was a short film about who owned what and when, then an explanation about tea and a look the process. This bit was good because you saw it go from leaves into the brown dried tea. Then we were given a small cup of cardamom tea, which was really delicious. We both really enjoyed this, we got back in our taxi and went to the view point. We were 4300 feet up and the hills were absolutely beautiful, there was a mist over them and you could see the tea plants all over. We had a half an hour walk around there where the views were amazing. We got some great photographs! When we'd finished we came back to the hotel, chilled for a bit then went out for tea. We had our jumpers on though, when we asked the taxi driver what temperature it was he said during the day 18/19 at night 4/5 so it was definitely jumper weather in an evening. So different from what we're used to. Tea was delicious and we've planned another early night as we are being picked up tomorrow at 8.30am for a full day of sight seeing.
