We had arranged last night with Glenn and Claire that we would check out of our hotel at 11.00am and bring our bags to their hotel for the day. We do not need to be at the airport until 7pm ish so Glenn and Claire said we could store our bags at theirs and get showers there before going to the airport. We had a walk around some of the backstreets with shops on them, went for a drink in a restaurant then went to the beach for a couple of hours. James and Glenn went in the sea and then climbed up to have a look at the lighthouse. They got some great photographs of the Kovalam coast from up there. We then went to get some late lunch before we went back to their hotel room. We got our things together and had showers, our last few days in India have been great, getting to share it with friends. We are sad to leave India though, after spending three months here we have really come to feel settled and find it so easy. It feels as though we are now starting to go travelling again. We got a tuk tuk to the airport and got onto our flight on time. The flight left at 10.40pm so we are practically missing a nights sleep. We have three flights in total. India (Trivandrum) to Singapore, Singapore to Phuket and Phuket to Ko Samui. We should get to Ko Samui mid afternoon ish Thai time, which is 7 hours difference from the UK. A good bit of news though was that we've got extra leg room, hopefully for both parts of this flight, happy James!
