We moved for the last time in Goa today, we came to Benaulim which is not very far from Cavelossim but it's a change of scenery and the hotel has a pool this time. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and got a taxi to Benaulim. Once we got here the woman at the Star of the sea hotel said there was a problem with the room, but we could go in a different room tonight and move tomorrow to our proper room. We knew this was code for, i'm getting more money for someone else in your room tonight and they leave tomorrow! We went along with it anyway. The good thing here is that it has wifi and we could get it in our room too which is great for more planning. After dumping our belongings in the room we went out for an explore of the place and a walk to the beach. Benaulim is very small but there are lots of shacks still, it has a long empty road to the beach. The beach has only a few shacks on it and it was extremely quiet. We had a drink at one of the shacks and sat for a little while.
On getting back we decided to go for a swim in the pool and then get our tea at the restaurant here. The pool is a nice size for swimming and has a deep end which you don't see very often. The food is cheap from the restaurant too which is always good. We did just stay out that little too long in our shorts and t-shirts though because we got loads of mosquito bites!
