Early start this morning to get to the lakes, a little worried as its quite foggy out whilst driving. The drive was lovely though, there was all sorts to look at on route when the fog cleared. The closer we got the colder it was getting, there were temperature readings on the road signs. Once we got to the park (and found the entrance) we had a look to see which route we were going to take. Thankfully once we got there the was no sign of fog and it was lovely and warm. It was set out into four walking routes of different amounts of time it would take. We chose a route which did quite a lot of the park so we could try to see it all. We started with a walk to the boat ride. The ride was amazing down this beautifully clear lake, you could see the fish swimming beneath the boat! The route took us to see some breathtaking sights of lakes and waterfalls. We seemed to have come at the right time of year because it wasn't too busy with tourists, it was sunny and warm walking round and the leaves on the trees had started to change colour so they looked great. The second part of the route took us on a bus journey and the a walk back down, we walked down to see the 'big' waterfall. We walked round a corner and there it was, it looked like it was from a film it looked that perfect. We got back to the car with very sore feet as we had walked miles today and did the drive back to the apartment with phones full of amazing pictures!
