Hello again folks, the lads & I went on a road trip for a week. We headed north to Hamner Springs first, no pictures though due to laws on cameras. These thermal springs are so relaxing after the outdoor activities available. We then headed North east to Kaikora. Famous for whale watching and dolphins, however none seen by us! Hopefully when I leave South Island and head back up this way, I'll snap a few Sperm whales and Hectors dolphins. We found a very private beach which we camped on, lit a bonfire, burnt sausages and got silly drunk! Sobering up slowly we reached Picton. The boys all jumped here, I couldn't as the rig I was using needed the reserve packing by 4 days Grrr! A beautiful little port town, this is where one gets a ferry to North Island. Again we found a stunning park overlooking the port and town to camp. The following day took us along the northern Marlborough Sounds to Nelson and Motueka. Stunning scenery surrounded by wineries and breweries....Heaven! Westport was next, then Greymouth both large towns, but with little to offer the traveller. Heading down the West coast we happened upon Punakaiki and marvelled at its natural Pancake stacks. The views just got better as we headed further south. Franz Josef & Fox Glaciers are too stunning to describe! I jumped at Fox Glacier, so shortly when I upload the video you can see the beauty of this coastline!
