Being offered a place on a four seater private plane to Lake Taupo back up in North Island(triathlon mecca & home to Ironman NZ) I naturally parted with the $$$s. A beautiful 3 hr flight at around 1000 - 4000ft to admire the views. Over Kaikoura, where thousands of dolphins were feeding. Here for easter proved difficult to drink! Good Friday and Easter Sunday alcohol was only served with a main meal....Piggy these days!! Lake Taupo is so energetic, a bit like Queenstowns answer in the North! Rotorua, although smelly was fun zorbing! Back to Methven to dive now...
