A quiet relaxing at sea day today to get the cruise started. I had a cappuccino at the cafe where Sean then met me to head for breakfast in the buffet. It was then time for the galley tour which seemed of interest to a lot of people, eventually it was our group's turn although the chef who took us around was Indian & very difficult to understand. We went to see if we could sneak into a talk about Christopher Columbus a little late next but it was barely standing room only as they had it in the cinema rather than the theatre. Instead I had another cappuccino which we took to the lawn area on top of the ship. The next talk about pirates we wanted to see we thought was at 1pm but back in room realised it was 1.30 so I managed to fit in a bit of a power nap then we went to get a seat. Unfortunately although the subject was interesting the speaker was not so a little bored we waited out the hour then went to get a late lunch. I had pasta bolognese with salad & Sean a burger from the outside grill. Although overcast it was reasonably humid so next was time for a swim, then shower & some more washing for the Chinese laundry we had going in the bathroom then a drink in the Gastrobar, although I had a ice tea from the cafe then got told off for bringing pizza from upstairs in as they had their own menu which you had to pay for. Hello, it's a cruise ship, there's plenty of free food, why would I pay for a pizza if I can just go to the buffet for some! Tonight was the first formal night so some time in the room, then getting ready & it was dinner time. Tonight I had corn soup, then rack of lamb & apple crumble. No after dinner drinks tonight, all this doing nothing is too exhausting!
