This morning our first stop was the 'Goodwill' or op-shop where I bought a pair of black pants for $4.99 (+ tax of course) & mum bought a couple of things. At 1pm we were then going to see a matinee performance of the Nutcracker by the Denver Ballet company and despite being $75USD ($100AUD) we had excellent seats & it was a fitting performance to see when the weather was snowing outside as the ballet included scenes with fake snow & lots of gorgeous outfits. It's a show I have always wanted to see & it was even better being able to see it here. After our refined ballet experience we moved onto an all American experience as we visited Biker Jim's for hotdogs made from various hunted animals (like Elk & Wild Boar) with toppings like chilli with jalapeños & cheese. Sean met us there to enjoy the meaty concoctions too. To wash it down we walked around the corner to Great Divide brewery to try the quite high percentage beers which weren't overly to my taste. Once we returned to the house mum & I explored the supermarket for dinner supplies and made pork fillets with salad and mac & cheese. I'm not sure that it necessarily feels like Christmas Eve tonight but hopefully we will enjoy our White Christmas tomorrow.
