Our day started with a visit to the local school. It was started by local parents and they used to be in sheds with 60 children in each classroom. The trust along with the help of Intrepid has now built a concrete classrooms and they are expanding all the time.
Children were very friendly and welcoming and wanted to shake hands with everyone and get their photo taken. They then laughed at the photos, and at one time Tony was mobbed by the children and could barely be seen when he was kneeling down. As soon as the cameras came out they held up their hands and almost the only thing to be seen was the hands.
But it broke our hearts how they were dressed. Their uniforms were torn and in one case the boy had a huge hole in the centre of his jumper.
