Brec's Travels 2012
Today we woke up really early to get the two hour train ride up to Jungfraujock, the highest reachable point in Europe. This was a costly train setting us back $140 each but was something we had to do while we were in Switzerland and it was well worth it!
The train to the summit may have been long but the views on the way up were amazing! Once at the top we got off the train in zero degrees weather and man did we feel it! We spent over three hours on Jungfraujock and saw the different lookout points, the little museum, walked through the ice glacier which was very cool and then finished by heading to the summit to get some awesome photos, we were even rebels and crossed the rope that said do not cross (oooh we're bad asses).
Bec and I had massive headaches while we were up there due to the altitude so on the train back we stopped to grab some lunch and sat in the sun to defrost while taking in the beautiful view of the Switzerland mountains.
We then explored Lauterbrunnen a bit and had a quiet afternoon reading and relaxing as our heads were still a bit sore. For dinner we decided to cook something healthy and cheap (with Lindt chocolate for desert) before watching a traditional Swiss performance involving lots loud cow bells and Swiss music whilst having a couple of drinks with some fellow busabouters.

Deb The photos were beautiful. Btw, I meant to rate your blog entry with 5 stars, but the old trigger finger mucked up, and it wouldn't let me change it
