As we farewelled Italy after nine amazing nights we were sad to be leaving but excited to get to France, first stop Nice! After arriving in the early evening we had a long walk through Nice with our backpacks (at least we saw a fair amount of the city, including all the shopping district and restaurant area).

We arrived got dressed and went straight out for a walk along the beach and then for dinner at a nice French restaurant. For our first full day we got up and went straight to the beach after breakfast and stayed pretty much all day until we got hungry and then went and got some lunch before hitting the laundromat - FUN - NOT but at least this one was in english for us! We both wanted to do something fun the next day so we booked a celebrity spotting cruise to St Tropez which included two hours of alcohol but unfortunately it was cancelled boohoohoo!! We'll just have to wait to the US to do our celebrity spotting!
