Today was Bordeaux exploration day so after a lovely French breakfast we hit the streets to explore this beautiful town and what a beautiful town it is!! We were dead set on hiring bikes to view the city but the stupid borris bikes only took French bank cards so we were out of luck.

As we strolled around, it reminded us of a much smaller version of Paris...It's on a river, has it's own Notre Dame with some amazing architecture and beautiful old buildings. As we walked through the streets we came across all these little squares where the streets met and with each there was a centre piece that made it different from the next. We fell in love with this place and at this point has to be one of our favourite little cities. Bec also got really excited when she found a carousel and for the bargain price of €2 had a 5min ride (she finally got her horse ride in!)

After another visit to our favourite chocolate and macaroon shop we grabbed the backpacks and jumped on a 2hr train to Biarritz, a surfing town on the west coast of France where we'll spend three nights chilling out - bring on the beach and finally some more bike riding!
