With infrequent rain, the weather in New York has been a little on the cool side. We have been trying to ride the Staten Island ferry around the Statue of Liberty since we have been here, but the river / bay is cold, windy and choppy, so we have been putting it off each day. Keen to get a look around the city before heading out to the speedway, we trotted off into a bright crisp morning about 8.30am.
