We headed off about 8.30am for the drive to our tour start point. Quite excited, as we were off for a tour encompassing part of the Jean Lafitte National Park, travelling by air boat across "Gator Country"... Setting off around 10.00am we pointed Betty in the direction of New Orleans, Bourbon Street. We've decided to do a segway tour again, and the start point is in the heart of the city. Much of the central city district dates back to the late 1700's. New Orleans was also destroyed by fires in 1788, although 60 years before San Francisco, I guess it was a risk faced by most major cities of the time.. Wow, Vegas has flown by ! Vegas would have to be the "fleesing" capital of America, it is hard to turn around without putting your hand in your pocket. That said, it is quite a spectacular place, especially for adults. Huge amount of street drinking and everything is geared towards adult entertainment. "The Hangover" would appear pretty true to life.. Will have to come back one day with a big bag of cash and be prepared to party hard ! (Just so long as I'm in bed...

Up early to meet our hotel transfer at 7.40am... Unsure of what to expect at the scenic tour airport and running a little behind, I decided we would drop into a restaurant at Caesars for a quick breakfast. They did a great job of getting our food out in about 10 minutes, but the $60.00 bill hurt... On the coach and 30 minutes later we were at a great little private airport (full breakfast available for $4.95) with about 50 other people, all excited about our trip...
