BradnDad2014
I forgot to mention in the last entry. As we were driving down the Pacific Coast Hwy, Brad was curiously aware of land marks, bridges, towers, tunnels and so forth. It turns out, the game "Grand Theft Auto" that he plays with mates is loosely set on this strip of coastal highway..
It is a crisp clear morning, so I've attached some photo's of the view from our house on the hill.
The view is breath taking. Obviously in front is the view over Hollywood. To the right is the Hollywood reservoir, behind is the Hollywood sign. To the left we have the Observatory, but we can't see it for the trees. The drive up the twisting narrow road to get here has tested me a couple of times, with some minor rim / tyre damage along the way... Hey, that's why we have insurance and a good reason not to buy an ex hire car...
Today we went back to the Motor Museum for a good look around.
I won't bore anyone with details, but we saw some fairly exotic pieces of machinery. Electing to take a guided tour of "The Vault" (secure basement of the building), we enjoyed a collection of vehicles they can't fit on display in the main building. Unfortunately, no photos are allowed, we even had two security guards follow our group to ensure we didn't.
Pretty lazy afternoon around home and back down to Sunset strip for a greasy Gyros (something like a Yiros, but greasier.. )
