I've never seen fresh snow as an adult, let alone held it. This stuff begs to be thrown at other people, so soft! We had an awesome morning up on Pilatus. The cable car ride was breathtaking, a couple of points where you go up and over an embankment and watch the world drop away on the other side.
Claude had told me to go to Interlaken to check out the nature, he seemed excited but I didn't get it. Wow! I could have spent a few days up there, perfect clear sunny skies and gob smacking views.
Back down into Lucerne and we had the afternoon to ourselves. We shopped around with loads of ideas of what to buy - Victorinox backpacks, pocket knives, watches. I toyed with an IWC, I'll never see them this cheap again, but I fought the good fight right up until 7pm, luckily the shop closed at 6:30 :)
We bought Max a Swiss Militaria watch, he was wrapped, kept running up to tell everyone about it all afternoon. The dumber parental decision was to get them both Victorinox pocket knives engraved with their names, but they look cool.
The only thing more astounding than the scenery up here is the prices, still I'd be back in a flash!

Helen Aurisch I am sure are all loving every day and new adventure, BUT please no more "dumb Parental decisions". Lock them away when you get back home, until they are both adults. Even your father managed to cut himself just folding his up, whoops Have fun and enjoy each new adventure. xoxo
