Up too early for a sea day, we'd booked ourselves into a Character breakfast. We shared a table with a French couple who both work at Disneyland Paris. It was hard to tell if Gab was more awestruck by Minnie or Genevieve, imagine getting to work at Disneyland everyday, and loving it so much that you have Disney holidays too?
After breakfast the kids couldn't dump us for kids club quickly enough, Gab and I enjoyed the morning to ourselves. We met up with the kids again just before lunch and the highlight of our day, our first viewing of Inside Out. Watch this one with your kids. It's not just a classic Disney tale of tragedy and triumph, it's an incredibly important tool for the kids to start understanding emotions and control. I admit I'm under a Disney spell right now, but I haven't wept so much since Shawshank, or laughed so hard since I don't know when.
By the end of the movie the sun was out so Gab and I had a drinks by the pool before dinner. I even opened one of those precious Franziskaners, bliss. We had a few more photos with the kids before meeting the Hiergesell family for dinner. The meal was all the better for Gab trying the cocktail of the day and Ed suggesting the Sambuca. More post dinner photos, another few drinks up on deck and we capped the day off with a show.
What the day lacked in life altering events it more than made up in rest and relaxation. As we approach the northern end of the Baltic we start a five day run of city tours, Stockholm, Helsinki, St Petersburg for two days then Talin in Estonia, so today's sparse agenda was well timed!
