Brenton Kovacs's Travels
We are in no hurry today as it will be the last night of the trip, and we only have a few hour drive to Denver. Gerry takes the longer more scenic route through the mountains and forests. I try and take as much in as i can as i know i wont be seeing this scenery again for some time maybe.
We arrive at Strasburg where i have booked us a nice 2 roomed cabin for the night. Lucky i did as it rained quite heavily during the night with some very loud thunder. This place is only half an hour away from the Denver airport, where my flight leaves from at 10am to Chicago.
Did not sleep all that well knowing i need to be up early for the flight. Gerry drops me at the airport where we say our goodbyes, enjoy a huge hug and now this trip is over.
What a journey we had. We covered 9 states, travelled over 6,000ks, visited 7 national parks. Saw many wild animals in their habitat. Experienced camping like never before and thoroughly enjoyed it. Even when the temperature dropped to zero. The tent Gerry supplied kept me dry when it did rain. Meet some very interesting people from around the world, all travelling to different parts of the USA. Some riding push bikes across the continent. Cant thank Gerry enough for making this trip so memorable and full of amazing sights. Wow, what a journey it was!!!!!
Anyway my flight to Chicago is delayed due to bad weather, but we arrive and land ok. But it was a very bumpy flight. Now i am sitting in the Chicago airport waiting for my 8pm flight to Dublin, Ireland, where a whole new adventure is about to unfold.
