Sunday 9th July

Well - woke to a very quiet house- no PlayStation (Harry) , no chatter (Jannica). And no coffee brewing with noises from kitchen (David and Fiona).
This is not the scenario planned - Bob and I would have spent a wonderful week with kids - then we would have helped out at the Eldoo Car Hire for next two weeks - with friends from Adelaide coming for a week during that time.
Instead I am on my own - so what to do???????
Stick to the routine established during the week - early morning walk, breakfast, golf. So that was my Sunday morning. Glorious day - temp up to 21 - nights plummet to around 16!!!!!!! Perfect.
Only 9 holes of golf - because I have to fend fo myself ( can't keep good help) and Jan and Ken arrive tomorrow from Adelaide. Eeeeeeeeeks - will have to pull finger out and cook.
Which is what I did - a couple of casseroles, apple slice, soup. That should keep us going for a few days.
Am now camped upstairs in David and Fiona's attic- and my room goes to visitors. Which meant a bit of cleaning, washing - the strain nearly killed me! Where is the hired help???????
Relaxed after such strenuous activity with reading - fed the cats ( omg - a doddering old lady with cats!), lit the fire ( perhaps I was a pyromaniac in a former life - love watching the flames) - then another episode of "The Fall" . Perhaps not the best series to watch on my own - story line is: a stalker lines up his victims, breaks in to their homes to check it out - then comes back to murder them - with Gillian Anderson trying to track him down-tad scary - but I'm one brave old lady - so all ok. Except -no one locks doors ( cars or houses) so hope no one has any tendencies to breaking in or murder!!!!!
So - a very pleasant day by myself - miss the kids - but rather peaceful having the house to myself. Bob would have pottered around fixing some doors that are not closing etc etc. He is definitely wandering around the property.
