Take a look at this beastie, he is about 4 to 5 metres long missing his right front leg and very very ugly!!! We took a tinny out on the river to the back of South Mission beach. Yesterday we left the big smoke of Cairns and drifted about 2 hours south and ended up at a caravan park right on the beach opposite Dunk Island at South Mission The sun was shining and the wind only light when we arrived and it was a beautiful sight. Yesterday Innisfail about 80km south of here recorded 6 inches (175mm) of rain in 24 hours !!!
