We must have woken the neighbours as the wheels on the bags echoed through the whole park last Thursday at 5.45am. The taxi was awaiting and soon we were on the early flight to Melbourne from the Gold Coast. Arriving at just after 9am off we went to get a car but suddenly remembered out driving licences had expired. So after some smooth talking and a fax from Vic Roads confirming that we had paid for new ones we were allowed to hire a car and drive home to Ballar...

My opening line, where has the time flown too. Day 74 I can remember day 1 so clearly, it was cold, damp, windy leaving home on the hill making our way to our first night in Tocumal via Bendigo, the leaves were falling off in their wonderfull full colours of Autumn. Well after the excitement of seeing the whales (about 10 all up in the end) in action off of Fraser island it was a quick 2 hour drive down the coast to increasing signs of urbanisation and roadside notices saying Brisbane is not far away and we arrived at Noosa. This is the first time in our entire trip we could not get into the caravan park we wanted to (right on the Noosa River) but had to settle for what is in fact a very nice site in Tewantin some 7 or 8 km'...
